myjobseeker.com.au is me!  Lisa Russell. I recently relocated to the Sunshine Coast and found it increasingly difficult to find a jobsearch website that catered for jobs just on the coast and covered all industries.  We live in a big city (beautiful at that) and deserve to have our own local network of job vacancies to search through.  This got me wondering if other people had the same problem.  After some thinking and asking around, I came to the conclusion that this was a common problem across the region and decided to launch a site devoted to jobs in the Sunshine Coast region.

For the last 7 years I have worked in generalist Human Resource roles across a range of industries including government, mining, retail, FMCG and wine.  These have kept me on my toes and my experiences in these roles have given me an insight into a variety of organisational issues relating to recruitment and selection, induction, staff development, learning and development, performance management, culture and change management, EEO, and workplace health and safety.

My experience includes coaching or providing advice for people from a variety of disciplines ranging from Transport Modellers, Business Analysts, Mine Engineers and Winemakers to Human Resource Managers, Footwear Product Developers, Packaging Supervisors and Forklift drivers.

Most rewarding and satisfying; I get real enjoyment from seeing streamlined processes and systems work well in business, enabling them to focus on their core business (and save time!).  My other kicks come from working with people, and acknowledging and supporting their uniqueness.  I believe that everyone has an interesting story to tell, and can grow with the right opportunities.

I have completed a post-graduate Professional Diploma of Human Resources and am a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
